The Uttarakhand High Court today directed the state police chief to probe allegations by a man that police personnel forcefully entered his residence last December and took away his wife.
A bench of Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia also asked Director General of Police (DGP) M A Ganpati to submit his report within a week.
The order came on a petition filed by Laksar (Haridwar) resident Amit Goswami who alleged that on the night of December 30, 2016, police forcefully entered his house and took away his wife.
