HC declines to pass order on plea against use of Jaya photo

The Madras High Court today declined to pass any interim order on a petition against the use of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's photos in state government advertisements in media.

When the PIL by Traffic Ramaswamy came up for hearing, the first bench comprising Chief Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice Bhavani Subbaroyan refused to pass any interim order and issued notice to authorities concerned.

It then adjourned the matter to hearing after five weeks.
