Kerala High Court today directed Sreedharan Nair, a complainant in the Solar panel scam case, to produce by Sept 25 a copy of his statement given before the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Ranni.

The direction in this regard was issued by Justice Harun Al Rashid while considering a petition seeking to retrieve closed circuit television (CCTV) recordings of the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) in connection with the scam.

Sreedharan Nair filed an affidavit today reiterating that he was taken to the CMO by accused Saritha S Nair on July 9 last year.

He said that whatever facts and information were known to him in connection with the case, had been 'truly and correctly' stated before the magistrate when he recorded his statement under sect 164 Crpc.

Nair also described as 'incorrect and false' the statement of Additional DGP, A Hemachandran, heading Special Investigating Team (SIT) probing the scam, that he (Nair) had said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had no role in the deal for setting up a solar plant at Kinfra park in Palakkad.

He accused police of fabricating and creating statements which he had not given.

'It is clear that investigation is not proceeding in proper and fair manner', he alleged.
