HC directs DC to file affidavit

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice Dharam Chand Chaudhary further directed the Deputy Commissioner to furnish details of the deposit already made by the company.

The Bench passed the order on a petition filed by Gram Panchayat Sapni against the state and Jai Parkash Company alleging inaction on their part for development of the local area.

During hearing of the petition, Member Secretary, Local Area Development Committee, Kinnaur,through an affidavit brought to the notice of the Court that the JP company has to make contribution of Rs 83.47 crore to the Local Area Development Committee.

The counsel for the JP Company submitted in the Court that they have spent much more then what is due to be deposited.

 

The JP Company sought time to file reply and the matter has been listed for August 16.
