The direction was given yesterday by a bench headed by Chief Justice Mohit Shah, who took on record an undertaking given by the two students-- Priyanka Bobade and Shubham Kamble-- that they would pay ad hoc amount of Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 towards the arrears of fees by the month end.
The judges, however, noted that the order was being passed without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the school management.
As regards another student, Pratiksha Bobade, who is studying in standard VIII in the same school, looking to the occupation of the parents, this student is not in a position to pay the tuition fees of Rs 1,150 per month. If an interim arrangement is not made, the school management is not ready to continue this student in the school, the judges noted.
"We are of the view that this student, whose name is given in the statement produced today by the petitioners, shall be permitted to continue her studies in the school on payment of Rs 450 per month till further orders," the bench further opined.
The judges, however, noted that this direction is given without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties and subject to the adjustment against payment, which the student may be required to pay in future.
The petition has been listed for further hearing on August 6.
