Jharkhand High Court today rejected the anticipatory bail plea of ruling JMM MLA Sita Soren, who is facing warrants from a lower court in connection with a case of horse trading during Rajya Sabha polls in 2012, and asked her to surrender to the lower court within a week.
Dismissing her petition, Justice Amitav Kumar Gupta said the plea had no meaning after the CBI had attached her property.
The bench also directed the absconding legislator to surrender to the lower court within a week.

Sita Soren, who is the widow of JMM chief Shibu Soren's son Durga, her father B N Manjhi and private secretary Rajendra Mandal are also accused in the case.
The lower court on February 14 framed charges against industrialists R K Agarwal and Pawan Dhoot along with another person.
Agarwal and Dhoot were the independent candidates in the RS polls, which was rescinded by the Election Commission of India following the seizure of Rs 2.15 crore from a vehicle in Ranchi on March 30, 2012, the day of election.
The ECI held the polls afresh on May 3 the same year and the police and Income Tax sleuths alleged that the vehicle belonged to Agarwal's kin.
