Justice Mandhata Singh while hearing the petition of Mishra challenging the vigilance court order to confiscate properties worth Rs 1.40 crore of Mishra and his family disproportionate to their known sources of income dismissed the petition.
Mishra had gone in an appeal to the Patna High Court which dismissed his petition.
The vigilance court had on February one ordered confiscation of the properties of Mishra and his family.
The state vigilance bureau has registered the DA case against Mishra after a thorough investigation for accumulating wealth more than Rs 56.62 lakh disproportionate to his known sources of income and after a period of prolonged probe, a chargesheet was filed charging Mishra and his family with having accumulated wealth more than Rs 1.40 crore in 2007.
