The Bombay High Court today dismissed a public interest litigation seeking deletion of the famous 'Selfie' song from Salman Khan-starrer 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' as the actor is seen dancing with shoes before Lord Hanuman.

A division bench of Justices V M Kanade and Shalini Phansalkar-Joshi refused to grant relief to one Raj Rathod who filed the petition.

Rathod in his petition sought a direction to the Censor Board to delete the song 'Selfie' in which Salman Khan is seen dancing with shoes on before Lord Hanuman and touching an idol of the god.

According to the petitioner, such acts hurt religious sentiments.

The high court, however, observed that the Censor Board has already seen the movie and granted certificate and has not found anything objectionable.

"If the Censor Board has given its certificate, we are not going to interfere," the court said while dismissing the petition.
