The Madras High Court today issued notice to the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Salem) Limited, for not complying with its order over settling pension benefits to a retired employee.
"Since the order of this court has not been complied with, issue Statutory notice to the Managing Director, TNSTC (Salem) Limited, the contemnor.The contemnor is also directed to bring a demand draft for Rs 10,000, which was already directed to be paid to the petitioner," Justice T Raja said.
The judge passed the order on a contempt petition by S Krishnan, an employee who retired on December 30 2008.

The High Court in its June 8 2015 order, directed grant of pension to Krishnan as per pension rules and to settle the arrearsn.
The order made it clear that all terminal benefits should be paid on or before August 31 2015.
The petitioner said he was forced to move a contempt petition as the authorities had not settled the dues, despite the order.
The judge had during the earlier hearing on February 6 2018, directed counsel for the Corporation to comply with the order and to pay Rs 10,000 to the petitioner for not complying with the order.
When the contempt petition came up again today and the Judge was informed that the order had not been complied with, he ordered the appearance of the TNSTC MD on March 5, along with the Demand draft of Rs 10,000.
