The Allahabad High Court today issued a notice to union minister Anupriya Patel in connection with dispute over premiership of her party Apna Dal and fixed January 15 as the next date of hearing.

A bench of Justices D K Upadhyay and Rajesh Singh Chauhan passed the order on a writ petition filed by Anupriya's mother, Krishna Patel who claimed to be the president of the party.

In the petition, Krishna has challenged an order of the Election Commission, which had asked Anupriya and Krishna to resolve their dispute.

In the petition, Krishna has pleaded that since the Apna Dal was not a recognised political outfit, the EC had no right to intervene in its affairs.

After considering the plea, the Lucknow bench of the high court issued notice to Anupriya, who is Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and fixed January 15 as the next date of hearing.
