Justice Mohan Shanthanagouder ordered issue of notice to the film starring Sandalwood superstars Upendra and Ramya on a petition filed by Bajrang Dal activist Nagaraj Naidu and two others seeking a direction to the Censor Board to cancel the screening certificate of the film.

The petitioners contended that the film had "several objectionable scenes and dialogues against Hindu Gods which hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindus".

They also submitted that state-wide protests were held with several mutt heads joining the agitation and flaying the Censor Board for allowing the screening of the film.

The court after ordering issue of notice to the Censor Board, adjourned the matter by two weeks.

The film, produced by Munirathna, was released on May 10 across Karnataka and has met with protests from activists of Hindu outfits.
