The Madras High Court today ordered issue of notice to officials, including the Home Secretary, on a plea seeking a direction to transfer the case relating to the investigation into the complaint against Tamil Nadu Minister S.P.Shanmuganathan for allegedly threatening a school teacher to CB-CID.
Justice C.Vaidhyanathan, who ordered issue of notice, posted the case for hearing on January 7.
The petitioner, S Inbaraj, a school teacher, submitted that the inspector at Sathankulam where he lodged the complaint had misled the court by filing a closure report on December 7.

He alleged that the inspector also told him that he was going to close the case whenever he appeared for the case and prayed that the case be transferred from Sathankulam police to CB-CID.
Inbaraj, a teacher at a private school in Sathankulam, had filed the petition alleging that he faced threat to his life from the minister and his henchmen who wanted him to give his share of property to his ex-wife, a teacher working at a government-aided school.
He alleged that the minister had developed intimacy with her, which resulted in him facing threat to his life. He filed a complaint before police on December 1 and as there was no action, he moved the court.
