Press Trust of India Kochi
: Kerala High Court today asked the state government to inform whether call details of the accused and other material objects had been seized in connection with the Solar panel scam that rocked the state last year.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Manjula Chellur and Justice A M Shaffique orally made the enquiries when a PIL by Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly V S Achuthanandan, seeking a CBI probe into the solar case came up before it.

Opposing the petition, Advocate General K P Dandapani submitted that identical pleas relating to same issue has been dismissed by the high court and hence the Marxist veteran's prayer was not maintainable.

Supreme court advocate, Shekar Nephade, appearing for Achuthanandan, pointed that Team Solar company, the fraudulent company floated by accused Saritha S Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan, had not been made an accused in the case and affairs of the company need to be probed.

He argued that since some persons in the Chief Minister's Office were allegedly involved, the case will attract Prevention of Corruption Act. There was no worthy investigation in the case so far, he claimed.

The petition has been posted to June for further hearing.
