The Bombay High Court today gave green signal to the release of the film 'Ya Rab'.
The film, made under the banner True Films, is to release tomorrow.
The division bench of Chief Justice Mohit Shah and Justice M S Sanklecha passed the order on a public interest litigation filed by NGO 'Jamiat Ulama e Maharashtra', which objects to the alleged depiction of madrassas as "a source of terrorism" in the film.
The producers and distributors told the court that the film was slated for release tomorrow and reels had been sent already. They added that the film has a disclaimer in the beginning that it is a genuine effort to show the truth behind all unwarranted lies about Islam, and advise has been taken from scholars and Maulanas while writing the script.
After hearing the arguments, court said at this stage it was not inclined to grant interim stay, as demanded by the petitioner organisation.
Next hearing would be on February 13.
