Just a day before beginning of written test of Odisha Civil Service (OCS) main examination, Orissa High Court today refused to interfere in it and rejected a petition to recall its Wednesday's order.

The petition filed by one Priyambada Das and others had urged the High Court to recall its Wednesday's order that had allowed some unsuccessful candidates to appear for the Main examinations.

The petitioners had submitted that only those candidates, who had challenged the Preliminary results, were allowed to sit for the Main examinations.

They said due to faulty system of awarding grace marks in certain subjects, many meritorious aspirants missed the mark by a whisker and they should also be allowed to appear for the main examination.

The High Court, however, refused to interfere in the examination process at this hour and rejected the petition.

Meanwhile, Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) is all set to conduct the Main Examinations from tomorrow that would continue till September 30.

At least 5823 aspirants, who have cleared the Preliminary examinations, are slated to appear the Main examinations.
