HC rejects spl appeals of quashing of SI, Platoon commander's

The Allahabad High Court today dismissed 10 special appeals challenging the single judge order quashing selections to the posts of sub-inspector and platoon commander in Uttar Pradesh from the stageof declaration of result of main written examination.

"The judgement and order under appeal rendered by learned Single Judge, thus does not warrant any interference. The specials are hereby dismissed " the court said.

The court refused to uphold the selection.

A division bench of Justice Amreshwar Pratap Sahi and Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya hearing 10 special appeals, including one filed by the state government, challenging the judgement and single judge's order of August 24, 2016.
 

By this judgement, the selection to the posts of sub inspector (civil police) and platoon commander had been quashed from the stage of declaration of the result of main written examination.

The select list which was also challenged before the single judge had also been quashed.

A direction had further been issued by the single judge to prepare the result of main written examination and declare the same afresh keeping in view the observations made therein.
