The Orissa High Court today completed hearing on a petition of senior IPS officer Prakash Mishra, seeking quashing of a corruption case against him, and reserved its verdict.
A 1977-batch IPS officer currently working as DG of CRPF, Mishra had moved the High Court to quash the FIR registered against him by the state vigilance last year and stop the judicial proceedings arising out of the case.
Alleging financial irregularities causing pecuniary loss to the state exchequer during Mishra's tenure as CMD of Odisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation between 2006 and 2009, the vigilance had booked the former state DGP under Prevention of Corruption Act and IPC.
