A division bench of justice N Kumars and H S Kempanna directed Advocate General S Vijay Shankar to produce the original affidavits filed by Erammal and Nagi who had levelled allegations against Bidari when he was the Deputy Commander of Joint Special Task Force constituted to nab Veerappan.
The direction was given when the petition filed by Bidari seeking his reinstatement as the Director General and Inspector General of Police in the wake of the recent Supreme Court verdict directing the high court to review the case came up for hearing.
The court adjourned further hearing of the petition to May 15.
On April 24, the Supreme Court stayed the high court order quashing the appointment of Bidari as the DG. The high court had set aside the appointment citing the allegations of atrocities against Bidari, who is due to retire from service on May 31.
