The Patna High Court today took strong objection to inconvenience caused to judges in reaching the court due to a bandh called by RJD with JD(U) and sought explanation within a week.

Justice Rakesh Kumar called for explanation from Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh within a week.

Justice Kumar called Principal Advocate General Lalit Kishore and narrated how he had to twice change route on way to the court from his home due to the bandh as a result of which he got delayed by about 25 minutes to the court.

The court sought to know why arrangements were not made for judges to reach court on time despite previous instructions by court.

RJD observed a one-day bandh today in support of its demand for making the socio-economic caste census data public.

Ruling Janata Dal(U) and Samajwadi Party extended support to the RJD bandh.
