HC seeks UP govt reply on implementation of packages for

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court today sought counter affidavits from central government, nodal agencies or Head of Departments(HODs) concerned in connection with a PIL alleging inappropriate execution of packages in drought-hit Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh.

A division bench of justice Amreshwar Pratap Sahi and justice Attau Rahman Masoodi gave the order on a PIL alleging that schemes for Bundelkhand have either not been completed or have not been executed at all related to relief to crisis of hard-hit areas there.

The court also directed the counsel for the Union of India to file the counter affidavit withIn a month on behalf of two respondents concerned indicating as to what reports had been received by it from the state government relating to Bundelkhand project which is subject matter of the PIL.
