Kerala High court will consider the impact of the Aranmulla airport project on the Sri Parthasarthy temple in Pathanamthitta district after two weeks.

The order was issued by a division bench comprising Justice T Ramachandran and justice P V Asha.

The bench directed production of the order of National Green Tribunal Southern bench order of May 28 as per which it had set aside the centre's environment clearance to the controversial Rs 2000 crore private airport.

The proceedings were initiated on the basis of Devaswom Ombudsman report regarding the impact of KGS airport project on the temple.

The project, the country's first private greenfield airport, was facing stiff resistance from the devotees of Parthasarathy Temple and heritage committee who said the airport would cause structural damage to the temple and cause several environmental hazards.
