The Bombay High Court will hear on June 25 a public interest litigation alleging corruption in allotment of parking lots in the city, along with other similar petitions.

Petitioner Pravin Wategaonkar has alleged that "someone" close to the Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan was taking money for clearing proposals for allotment of public parking lots.

The petition demands investigation under the Prevention of Corruption Act and a direction to Maharashtra government to submit details of proposals sanctioned so far since Chavan took charge of the office.

The petitioner filed an additional affidavit today, alleging that information obtained through the Right to Information Act revealed that files about allotment were kept pending by the Chief Minister's office for three to 14 months, even after scrutiny by officials concerned.
