HCC-led JV wins Rs 374 cr irrigation scheme in Madhya Pradesh

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) today said its joint venture with LCESPL has been awarded a Rs 374 crore contract for a lift irrigation scheme in Madhya Pradesh.

"HCC in joint venture (JV) with Laxmi Civil Engineering Services Private Ltd (LCESPL) has been awarded Rs 374.6 crore contract by the Narmada Valley Development Authority to construct Bistan Lift Irrigation scheme on turnkey basis," HCC said in a filing to the BSE.

HCC share in the JV is 51 per cent (Rs 191 crore). The project is scheduled to be completed in 30 months.

"The project will irrigate 22,000 hectares in Bistan region under Gogawan, Bhagwanpura and Khargone tahasils in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh by drawing water from main canal of Indira Sagar project," the company said.
 

The scope of the project includes two pumping stations, connecting pipeline of 167 km and micro irrigation systems including automation systems (SCADA) etc.

HCC said that it has extensive experience in execution of large scale multi-disciplinary EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contracts for some of the largest lift irrigation schemes in the country.

The company has constructed Godavari Lift Irrigation Phases 1, 11 and 111, Veligonda Lift Irrigation Project and Rajiv Sagar Lift Irrigation Project.
