HCC shares retreat 4.5 pc, post Q4 results

Shares of infrastructure major Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) today fell by 4.5 per cent after it reported an over 7 per cent decline in stand-alone net profit for the March quarter.

Reacting to the numbers, the stock plunged 4.54 per cent to Rs 21 on BSE.

On NSE, it tumbled 4.54 per cent to Rs 21.

HCC yesterday reported a 7.3 per cent decline in stand-alone net profit at Rs 19.1 crore for the March quarter.

Net profit stood at Rs 20.7 crore in the year-ago period, it had said in a BSE filing.

Its total income from operations increased to Rs 1,196 crore in January-March of 2015-16 as against Rs 1,175 crore a year earlier.
 

For the year, HCC has registered a net profit of Rs 84.9 crore in 2015-16, compared with Rs 81.7 crore last year.
