HealthCare Global Enterprises (HCG) today said it has opened a cancer care services centre in Kanpur.
The new centre is located at HCG Regency Oncology Centre, which is operated by HCG Regency Oncology Healthcare -- a joint venture between HCG and Regency Hospitals Ltd, HCG said in a BSE filing.
Commenting on the development, HCG Enterprises Chairman BS Ajaikumar said: "We see a huge potential unmet demand for advanced cancer care in the region served by this centre. This is a major step forward in our mission to make high quality cancer care accessible to all."
The 90-bed new centre will offer advanced radiation therapy supported by a multi-disciplinary team of oncologists. It will also hae facilities for bone marrow transplant.
"We have a large number of cancer patients coming to our hospitals across the state and with this new centre we can now offer the best in cancer care to them in one place," Regency Hospitals Chairman Atul Kapoor said.
