Shares of IT services and distribution firm HCL Infosystems today fell by nearly 5 per cent after the company reported widening of consolidated net loss to Rs 49.24 crore for the quarter ended September 30.
The company's scrip slipped 4.50 per cent to settle at Rs 57.30 on BSE. During the day, it dipped 8.66 per cent to Rs 54.80.
At NSE, shares of the company settled down 4.74 per cent to Rs 57.20.

In terms of volume, 33.78 lakh shares of the company changed hands at BSE and over 97 lakh shares were traded at NSE during the day.
HCL Infosystems on Wednesday reported widening of consolidated net loss to Rs 49.24 crore for the first quarter ended September 30.
The company follows July-June as its financial year.
HCL Infosystems had reported a net loss of Rs 45.26 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, it had said in a BSE filing.
Income from operations of the company also declined to Rs 1,470.60 crore for the reported quarter compared with Rs 1,682.88 crore last year.
