The Hyderabad Central University will hold an year-long celebration of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution.
It will start tomorrow with a function in the university's administrative building.
A committee of faculty members, students and non-teaching staff would plan the activities to be held through out the year.

A seminar on the preamble of the Constitution is being planned. There would be a reading out of the preamble for the students and employees on November 26, the Constitution Day.
HCU, also known as University of Hyderabad, has been at the centre of a controversy since the suicide of Dalit research scholar Rohit Vemula in January, with the students demanding removal of the vice-chancellor Appa Rao Podile.
