HDFC Bank scrip falls, Zee Entertainment gains on MSCI rejig

Shares of HDFC Bank, Reliance Capital and Reliance Power witnessed selling today, falling by up to three per cent after MSCI removed these stocks from its India index.

Reliance Capital fell by 3.03 per cent to end the day at Rs 467.95, down 3.03 per cent on the BSE.

Shares of Reliance Power was down 2.09 per cent to Rs 75.05, while HDFC Bank lost 1.51 per cent to Rs 899.

The other stock which has been excluded from the MSCI India index is Jaiprakash Associates, which ended the day with a gain of 0.46 per cent at Rs 33.
 

MSCI has added Zee Entertainment and Motherson Sumi Systems to its India index. Shares of Zee Entertainment rose by 5.12 per cent to Rs 372.85, while Motherson gained 0.47 per cent to Rs 428.20.

All the above changes to the MSCI India index will be effective from November 25, 2014.
