HDFC Life ties up with Manipal Global for insurance course

Private life insurer is planning to hire close to 8,000 people from the programme

HDFC Life today said it has partnered with Manipal Global Education Services to introduce a one-year post-graduate diploma in insurance.

The private life insurer is planning to hire close to 8,000 people from the programme at the Karnataka-based education services provider for its operations in Tier II and III cities.

"The one-year post-graduate diploma in insurance aims to prepare students for a career at HDFC Life. We intend to hire close to 8,000 people within three years and are banking heavily on this programme for getting the best talent. These hiring will be mainly for Tier II and III cities," HDFC Life said in a release here.
 
After successfully completing the course, students will be offered a fixed starting salary of Rs 2.5 lakh per annum plus performance-based sales incentives, it said.

"It is first-of-its-kind course in the life insurance industry where candidates from any education stream with minimum qualification of being a graduate can join the programme with guaranteed placement with HDFC Life.

"Students will be provided with high quality of learning at Manipal campuses," HDFC Life Senior Executive Vice- President and Chief Human Resources Officer Rajendra Ghag said.
