HDIL shares tumble nearly 7% post Q3 earnings

Shares of realty firm HDIL today tumbled nearly 7 per cent after the company reported 84 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended December.

The stock declined by 6.86 per cent to end at Rs 63.80 on BSE. Intra-day, it slumped 7.66 per cent to Rs 63.25.

On NSE, shares of the company dropped 6.85 per cent to close the trade at Rs 63.85.

On the volume front, 20.40 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over one crore shares changed hands at NSE during the day.

HDIL yesterday reported 84 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 16.22 crore for the quarter ended December on lower sales.
 

Its net profit stood at Rs 100.32 crore in the year-ago period, Mumbai-based firm said in a regulatory filing.

Total income also fell to Rs 116.44 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal from Rs 329.16 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
