A head constable, posted in Home Guards Department, was today arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau in an alleged bribery case.
One Shankar Sharma had complained to the ACB that the accused head constable Shanti Lal Vaishnav was demanding a bribe of Rs 15,000 to recruit his son in the home guards department. A trap was laid and the accused was caught while taking the bribe, IG (ACB) V K Singh said.
He has been placed under arrest and a case under sections of Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against him.
