The headmaster of a government-aided school at a town near Coonoor, some 20 km from here, was arrested today on charges of sexually abusing primary class girl students.
Appusamy (48), headmaster of the school at Kotakkal, was arrested following complaints lodged by parents with District Child Welfare Officer, Deepa, that he had been misbehaving with their class 3 and 4 wards, police said.
All the parents hail from Jharkhand.
The headmaster was later remanded to custody and lodged in the sub-jail in Coonoor, police added.
