Health Insurance Scheme to be launched in Jharkhand on Nov 15

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today announced that the Mukhya Mantri Swasthya Bima Yojana (Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme) will be launched from Ranchi on November 15 and will cover the entire state by December 28.

Das, who reviewed the the preparedness of the scheme during the day, said the necessary preparations have been taken and 57 lakh families who are beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act would be benefitted by it.

The poor would not have to spend anything on their treatment as the entire system would be cashless and the government would give cards to the beneficiaries, an official release said quoting Das.
 

The chief minister said all government hospitals, leading nursing homes and private hospitals in the state would be empanelled in the scheme, besides hospitals in nearby states where patients are referred, the release said.

The process would be transparent through an effective software, the CM said.

Rs 50,000 would be sanctioned for secondary care and Rs two lakh rupees would be for special care, besides an additional Rs 30,000 for elderly persons, the chief minister said.
