Heat wave continues at some places in Haryana

Bhiwani was the hottest place in the State recording a high of 42 degrees Celsius, six notches above normal.

Hisar and Rohtak in Haryana recorded identical maximum temperatures of 41.6 deg C each, five notches above normal for this time of the season, the MeT office said here.

Narnaul, Ambala and Karnal recorded respective above normal maximums of 40.2 deg C, 37.4 deg C and 37 deg C.

In Punjab, Amritsar residents experienced a hot day at 38.8 deg C, four degrees above normal.

Patiala and Ludhiana, too, braved sultry weather conditions recording respective maximums of 37.2 deg C and 36.4 deg C.

 

Chandigarh recorded a high of 36.3 deg C.

The MeT has forecast light to moderate rains and thunder showers at isolated places in the two states tomorrow.

However, they have forecast that rainfall activity in the region may increase by the weekend.
