People in Rajasthan continued to reel under the scorching heat today with Phalodi town of Jodhpur recording the highest temperature at 48.5 degrees Celsius.
Phalodi was followed by Churu and Sriganganagar, recording maximum temperatures of 48.3 and 47.5 degrees Celsius respectively, the MeT Department said here.
Mercury in Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Kota, Barmer and Ajmer settled at 47.6, 47, 46.8, 45.8, and 44.5 degrees Celsius, it said.

Jaipur also experienced a hot day with a maximum temperature of 45.2 degrees Celsius.
Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of the state and the same is likely to continue for the next 24 hours, a MeT forecast said.
Meanwhile, light rains with thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Bikaner and Jaipur division.
