Heat wave prevails in parts of Rajasthan, rains at some places

Heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Rajasthan even as light to moderate rains were witnessed at isolated locations in the state in the last 24 hours.

The rains occurred at isolated pockets of Ajmer, Kota and Udaipur division. The weather was dry in the remaining areas, according to MeT department here.

Shahpur and Bakani area recorded 3 centimeters of rains whereas Vallabhnagar, Ramganjmandi and Bhilwara received 2 cms of rainfall.

While Mercury soared to 45 degree Celsius in Churu, day temperatures hovered above 41 degrees at other stations.

The weather department has predicted rains in eastern parts of the state during next 24 hours and the heat wave conditions are likely to abate in next two days.
