Maximum temperatures hovered above normal in Punjab and Haryana today with Hisar recording the highest in the region at 43 degrees Celsius.
While the maximum temperature in Hisar was three notches above normal, Narnaul also registered a temperature three degrees above normal and settled at 41.5 degrees Celsius, a MeT department report said.
Ambala's maximum settled at 40.7 degrees Celsius, again three degrees above normal while Karnal also braved a hot day at 40.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
