Heat wave sweeps Jharkhand, Palamau boils at 47 degrees Celsius

The heatwave condition is likely to prevail for the next three days

Severe heat wave condition is sweeping the across Palamau district in Jharkhand with mercury shooting up to 47 degrees Celsius today.

The heatwave condition is likely to prevail for the next three days.

"We have issued a warning for severe heat wave conditions in Palamau district for the next three days," said an official in the local MeT department.

He said there could be rainfall accompanied by thunder at isolated places in the state tomorrow.

The heat wave conditions was also prevailing in Garhwa (44), Giridih (40), Jamshedpur (41), Ranchi (41.4), Lohardaga (42) and Latehar (42), the MeT department official added.
