Heatwave conditions in parts of Telangana

Heatwave conditions prevailed at isolated places today in the districts of Adilabad and Mahabubnagar of Telangana with the maximum temperature soaring to 44.5 degrees Celsius in the state.

Adilabad district recorded the highest temperature at 44.5 degrees Celsius. It was followed by Mahabubnagar (44), Nizamabad (43.7) and Hyderabad (42.2), according to the India Meteorological Department.

The IMD warned that heatwave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in all the districts of Telangana tomorrow. Also, the maximum temperatures are likely to be above normal by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius at many places.

According to the IMD, Mahabubnagar, Khammam and Hyderabad city experienced heatwave conditions yesterday.
