Heatwave conditions prevailed in some parts of Telangana today with the mercury hovering in the range of 42 degrees Celsius to 44 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department.
Heatwave conditions were witnessed in Mahabubnagar and Khammam districts and in Hyderabad city.
Mahabubnagar recorded the highest temperature at 44.5 degrees Celsius in the state, according to an IMD report.

Adilabad remained the second highest at 44 degrees Celsius, followed by Medak (43.3), Hyderabad (43) and Nalgonda (42.6), while Khammam and Ramagundam recorded 42.4 degrees Celsius each.
Dry weather is likely to prevail over Telangana, as per the IMD website.
