Heatwave conditions prevailed today in several areas of Rajasthan forcing people to stay indoors.
Normal life remained affected in some areas under Bikaner and Kota division due to heatwave.
According to the MeT department here, Churu was the hottest place in the state, recording a maximum temperature of 45.3 degrees Celsius followed by Kota which sizzled at 44.9 degrees.

Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 44.8 degrees Celsius while Bikaner, Sriganganagar, and Barmer registered maximum of 44. 5, 43.7, and 43.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
Thunderstorm is likely to occur at isolated areas in the state during the next 24 hours, the department said.
