The maximum was recorded at 43 degrees Celsius, the same as yesterday, while the minimum was 32.4 degrees, down from 33.6 degrees.
Both maximum and minimum were five degrees above normal.
However, there could be some respite tomorrow with the Weatherman predicting light rains.
The temperature could be between 32 and 42 degrees Celsius, the Met office said.
