Heavt wave conditions prevail in parts of Rajasthan

Heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Rajasthan despite light rain and dust storm, a Meteorological official said.

Kota was recorded the hottest with 45.4 degrees Celsius followed by 45 degrees Celsius each in Bikaner and Jaisalmer, 44.2 degrees Celsius in Churu, 44 degrees Celsius in Barmer, 43 degrees Celsius in Jodhpur, 42.7 degrees Celsius each in Ajmer and Jaipur, 42.1 degrees Celsius in Dabok, 39.5 degrees Celsius in Pilani and 37.5 degrees Celsius in Sriganganagar.

Pilani recorded 23.7 mm rainfall today, the official said.

The MeT department has that warned of heat wave/duststorm likely to occur at isolated places in the state and forecast light rain/thunderstorm at isolated places in the state.
