Heavy rain coupled with hailstorm today threw normal life out of gear in Rajasthan besides affecting highway traffic in the state.
Moderate to heavy rain occurred in the state due to ongoing strong western disturbances arriving from Lal Sagar behind Pakistan and thick moisture from Arabian sea, a MeT report said.
Hailstorm hit the standing crops in parts of Rajasthan, especially in western regions of Jodhpur, Pali, Sirohi, Barmer, and southern region of Hadauti last night.

Kishangarh and Ramgarh recorded rainfall of 9 cm each at 8.30 AM, followed by Tadaraisingh 7 cm, Patan and Bali 6 cm each, Alwar, Deoli, Gananagar, and Sadul Shahar 5 cm each.
Despite partially sunny day, Jaipur recorded a maximum rainfall of 30 mm in the last 24 hours though heavy rain lashed the state capital this afternoon.
Western disturbances are likely to pass out by tomorrow morning.
With inclement weather, Mount Abu on hills recorded a minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius last night, and Sikar on plains was coldest at 11 degrees Celsius.
MeT department has forecast that light rains will continue till tomorrow in parts of the state.
