Heavy rain lashed Jamui and adjoining districts in Bihar today even as there was light to moderate rainfall elsewhere in the state, according to MET office.
Sono region in Jamui district recorded the highest rainfall at seven cm, followed by six cm each in Bhabhua and Kudra, while Sherghati region in Gaya witnessed five cm rain, it said.
Jhajha, Gaya, Rajauli each received four cm of rainfall, while three cm rain was recorded in Jamui and Garhi areas.

The weather remained pleasant with Purnia recording the highest day temperature at 34.6 degree Celsius followed by 32.2 in Bhagalpur, 31.4 in Patna and 31.2 degrees Celsius in Gaya.
Bhagalpur was the most humid place with humidity level at 81 per cent followed by 78 per cent in Gaya, 77 per cent in Patna and 76 per cent in Purnia.
The MET office has forecast a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers in Bihar over the next 24 hours.
