The sky remained cloudy in Kolkata during the day with scanty rainfall while north Bengal received heavy rainfall.
According to the MeT department, the city recorded a rainfall of 3.9 mm during the last 24 hours.
Districts in Gangetic and north Bengal received heavy rainfall. Cooch Behar experienced 78 mm rainfall, Bagdogra 38 mm and West Midnapore 26 mm.
The maximum temperature recorded in the city was 30.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 25.4 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said.
