Heavy rainfall in parts of Bihar

Bihar's Rohtas district today received heavy rainfall even as other regions in the state witnessed light to moderate showers, the weather office said.

Heavy rainfall has occurred at a few places in Rohtas district with Daudnagar and Rafiganj areas receiving three cm of rains, while Chenari received two cm of rainfall, the MET office said.

Tekari and Sherghani areas of Gaya district too received rainfall at one cm each.

Day temperatures remained moderate with Bhagalpur recording 36.4 degree celsius followed by Purnia at 35 degree celsius, while Patna and Gaya registered maximum temperatures at 34.6 degree celsius and 32.8 degree celsius respectively.
 

During the day, Bhagalpur received 36.4 mm of rainfall, while Patna, Gaya and Purnia received 26 mm of rains each.

The humidity level stood between 68 to 75 per cent in Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnia, the Met office said, adding the sky would remain generally cloudy in the state with prospect of light rain.
