With the Southwest monsoon active over the state, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall likely at one or two places over interior Odisha in the next two days.
"Heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over interior Odisha in next 48 hours," IMD said in its latest bulletin today.
Rainfall has occurred at most places over Odisha with heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over North Coastal Odisha and heavy rainfall at one or two places over rest of Odisha since yesterday.
The chief amounts of rainfall recorded are Tirtol in Jagatsinghpur district (20 cm), Marsaghai in Kendrapara district (12 cm), Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district, Garadapur in Kendrapara, Sundargarh (9 cm each), Tarva in Sonepur district, Atabira in Bargarh district, Alipingal in Jagatsinghpur district, Jenapur in Jajpur district and Bamra in Sambalpur district (8 cm each).
