The met department today forecast heavy rains at isolated places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal till tomorrow to be followed by fairly widespread rain in the region in the next three days.
The southern districts of the state are likely to experience scattered rains in the next two days, after which the intensity may increase to fairly widespread rain till September nine.
The metropolis did not record any precipitation till this morning, even as high relative humidity caused discomfort among the citizens.
Little or no rainfall was recorded in other parts of the state during the same period.
