Heavy rains hit normal life in Western Rajasthan

Incessant rains in western districts of Rajasthan affected normal life specially in Jodhpur division with Balotra recording the maximum rainfall of 18 cms in the state.

Moderate to heavy rainfall recorded in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Chittorgarh and Kota districts bringing the mercury down in the range of 27 to 33.9 degree C, a Met report said.

Balotra received 18 cm of rains, followed by Siwana 15 cm, Pachpadra 12 cm; Chotau, Luni and Jodhpur 10 cm each; Osia, Karonpur, Bayata, Baseri, Jiataran, Sedwa, Barmer, Shivpuri 7 cm each; Sagaly 6 cm, while many other places in the western region received one to five cm since last night.
 

Jaipur has been experiencing intermittent rains since early this morning. Rains has affected the normal life in the state.

Met department predicted heavy rainfall warning in north- west of Rajasthan in next 24 hours.
